Thanks Heidi Rose
For the tag ! This meme is supposed to make me tell you seven things that you wouldn’t know about me. It’ll be a bit of a challenge… I talk too much already !

1. I’m not fashionable, but I like to inform myself on the industry. If I had money, I’d buy more expensive & pretty outfits. For now, though, expect nothing more than graphic tees and skinny jeans from me !
2. I am a sucker when it comes to animals. They want attention, I give them more than they asked for! I love them all, big and small!

3. My family is pretty crazy. We like to party and do crazy things. My dad’s side, though… not so much.

4.  I have a Sweeney Todd poster, A Rolling Stones Johnny Depp poster, a Pirates of the Caribbean poster with Jack & Will and another with just Jack, a Fight Club poster, a Pocahontas poster, an Abbey Road over my bed,  and a Lord of the Rings poster on my walls.

5. I have 2499 songs in my ITunes library.

6. I hate coffee.

7. I used to have two gray fluffy cats: Cumulus & Sybil.

I’d like to know more of you so I can actually tag some people for this. XD
The Rules:

1. Remember to thank the person who nominated you! (and link to them from your blog)
2. Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
4. State seven things about yourself that most people don’t know.
5. Nominate 7 other Kreativ Bloggers. (and link to them too!)
7. Leave a comment on each of the lucky duckies’ blogs letting them know.

Happy Halloween! Tonight’s my last shift at the Halloween Attractions Park. I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow! Look out for it!

Music

This is an Iambic Pentameter I wrote for an assignment.

A gentle caress , a pleasant whisper

To ease the disarray of my slumber

Tenderness releasing from strings aligned

The hovering sonance help me unbind

Like frothy cream against my acute ears

Or darling wiping under swelled tears

A kitten’s tail wrapped around my ankles

A prisoner, at last, freed from shackles

A swell in emotion, ever clearer-

Lyrics gather to become your mirror

Channeling through encountered hollow souls

They remain, replenishing bereft holes

A companion to all in love and hate

For those in refuge of voidom’s dictate

Just close your eyes in succoring darkness

To a dream absenced of carnal illness

Withdraw from reason , uninterrupted

The world is yours ; no longer corrupted

It dissolves further from the melody

To allow you perfect serenity

Operation Fright Night Part 4

I don’t know if you all remember, but I mentioned before that, with all this Halloween fun-time, my job is quite a risky one. Dangerous things happen every day, people get hurt, sent to the ER, ect. I’ve learned enough from it that I’ve grown a lot. I’ve become a stronger person,  more conscious of the things happening around me. I don’t care much about my safety. But it’s the others, the ones who aren’t used to this kind of danger, who I look out for, no matter how much I don’t know them.

I never expected so many things to happen to me in a single night!

I was set in this very tight hallway, leading to an air-structured corridor where people squeeze in through to get out. They call it The Vagina, or The Rebirth. Its original name is Claustrophobia. I want to make sure nothing bad happens, so I lead the uncomfortable to another, safer way out, trying to be as nice as possible in character. I do have a costume, but I only had half of it that time since traffic made me arrive late. The makeup ladies were nice enough to let me in the prop room anyway: my manager, Dave, got stuck in the same traffic as me.

The night went on regularly, with a few incidents of sobbing, hysterical children who “can’t make it much longer”. In these situations, I get out of character, make them feel better with “it’s going to be alright”, “the exit is right there”, “don’t worry, honey, you’ll be just fine”. It’s a little difficult to convince them when, even though my hair is out of my face, I still have a great blotch of crimson corn starch on my cheek. The parents are comprehensive, thank me, and huddle their children out. Of course, I only allow that kind of luxury to children under 10 years old. The others? They have to suffer through it. No sympathy for them! Unless of course, they beg.

I met a couple of wild, drunk teenagers. A boy tried to lead his drunk girlfriend out. I respected that of him, didn’t bust. Another boy was carrying one of our props; a piece of leg from a mannequin. I found the prop familiar and asked him to leave it with me, when he answered that he thought it was some kind of gift. I had the leg with me for the rest of the night. But something else distracted me from caring about it.

At one point during the evening, a man, around his 30s who was going through the house with his girlfriend, touch me. Not just poking for fun. He groped. At first, I didn’t think much about it. There was so much going on, I barely remembered. Still, I could feel the imprint of his fingers touching my chest. The most uncomfortable feeling in the world.

I got a tiny break. There weren’t many people there, so I took advantage and remembered that Dave had told us earlier that he’d found 25$ in The Field of Screams. Just then, I found 15$ on the floor in my little tight area in the dark. So, the groping payed off. I think that’s why I forgot. It was the tips. c:

Later, a few security guys were passing through. They were sandwhiching a creepy tall, skinny blond man, who gave me the death stare.  A criminal, I later learned.

At the end of the evening, rain was pouring. We were all gathered in the prop room, the house’s attic. Dave explained to us that if we didn’t feel safe, we were free to leave. He didn’t emphasize much about the loose criminal, but assured us that we don’t have to work in these circumstances. I told him about my harassment, and added this to the incidents reports he had to fill out to send the next day.

In the end though,

I did get 15$. C:

Tuesday Treasures

Another good day today! My friends are collaborating on paying me a ticket to the Homecoming this november. I’m so excited and utterly grateful! Also, with our Steven Speilberg collection in tech/media class, we finished watching Close Encounters of The Third Kind. The teacher calls it the epiphany of suspense in a major motion picture. He’s right…. perhaps even too right! You’ll have to see for yourselves if you haven’t seen this. Very hip during my mother’s teenage years.

Also… apparently, I’m the boob fairy. Says the ass-licking little creature who looks like

I’m scared, too. *shudders*

mural art. pretty rad. i want this on my bedroom wall. not even joking.

a collection of amazing contemporary artwork.

very pretty fashion photography.

This boy… delightfully shaggable.

I lol’d! XD

Cloud Number Nine…. Teen!

Today, I can do a lot more things than I could last year.

I have more freedom, more independence. I don’t need my parents’ approval for everything anymore. I can do what I want, when I want. Not to suggest I’ll go off doing irresponsible things thinking that I do them because I can. I’ll still be the same old me. Old… Jesus, I am old!

Everything feels mildly different. I feel freed from all that teenage angst, the pressure from the parents/friends/family/work. I feel like I’ve just sprung out of a lake and finally caught my true breath.

Three of my very close friends (including Nick, my younger sister’s newly-turned ex) came over for some fun-time karaokeing on Saturday night. I’d already received my birthday present (my contact lenses), but I also got some very nifty pens (i have a thing for them… i like creative sketching! ) from Anastasia, and Nick is taking me Halloween costume shopping!! He’s a really sweet guy. Baffled me when he saw no one was coming to the intended all-girls night in, despite his recent break-up with my sister. They’re bickering like an old married couple now. It’s irritating, but because I’m a better friend than sister, his side keeps drawing me! I’ve known him since he must’ve been 9, I don’t know. I still consider him as a little brother that I never had, and he thinks of me as his older sister.

Anastasia made delicious Sex In a Pan, too! We ate it so fast DX

Good times are settling in. My mom just began research for the renovations, calling in people to work on our house. Already, most of them have looked through it, finding the little problems that could risk a good sell. We’re putting this baby on the market to finally move to the city in Montreal, where the rest of my family lives. Also, Montreal is considered the New York City of Canada. Its got its own film & Tv Industry, and Concordia University, the one I’m currently aiming for to get my Major in!

DSCF6432I need to look at this fortune cookie messsage every day now. It’s my first this year – opened it tonight. I was very surprised!

It’s looking sunny already!

Operation Fright Night part 3.

The night was fairly uneventful. People still believed my hair was a wig and just to make sure, they would yank down hard just enough to piss me off. I thought I’d caught a bunch of rats smoking weed inside the haunted house, but to my surprise, I was wrong and let them go in peace. I was also asked a lot of questions tonight. I tried to answer in character the best I could. Nothing horribly wrong happened, and I didn’t do anything stupid except for that one time when I was about to leave with the costume still on my back. Luckily, I went back inside the prop room without no one ever noticing.

Today, we went to the University of Ottawa for an open house they were having. There was a bazillion kids there, and absolutely no organization. It was hell. I got lost so many times, ended up sticking with my friends instead of risking going to the class I registered for. It was free, so not a big scar on my wallet. Or, rather, mom’s.

For lunch, they gave away 6$ off any campus restaurant coupons, earning myself a free Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks! Now, I’m not a fan of the restaurant. Or coffee for that matter. I hate coffee. But I’m one of those quirky cider fans. I like the natural-tasting sweetness and the scent, especially. It was delicious, and went fabulously with my Subway – for which I also got myself a savings card. At last! I always go to Subway. It’s delicious, non-greasy, and well priced! My order is always foot-long grilled chicken with lots of olives. Letus, of course, and tomatoes. I try to limit my consummation of meats to chicken. I’m, per say, a “getting there” vegetarian. Although I have a hard time refusing anything my wonderful mum cooks, when I’m out, it’s never something else than chicken if there’s meat.

Anyway,

It was about 1pm when I finally met up with my usual “gang”. It was such a relief to see them! I just had to tell them about my potential prom dress, which is adorable and supe pretty! My mom took all the measures to get it online, from a website called unique-vintage.com. Yes. It’s a vintage dress!! I think I’m going to get it for real because my mom loved it as much as I did and it was cheaper than she thought it would be. Which is weird on her part, since she never trusts the net when it comes to buying. She seemed to like this one though! So exciting!

After walking to the downtown part of the city, we stopped for the others for their lunch at McDonalds. I was craving fries, so I bought a large one. Turns out there was too much in there so I gave it to my friend, Anastasia. I wanted to give it to a hobo, but she was closest. When we came across a hobo asking for money for coffee, I snapped it right off her hands and offered them to him. He was so happy! It really warmed my heart. It’s a wonderful feeling, doing a good deed that way. Usually, they reject food, for drug money. It’s ridiculous. But this one looked really excited to start eating those fries!

I bussed to the bus station closest to my house (which is a 15 minute drive away) at the end of the day. Went home. Finished an overdue essay. Didn’t eat. And went to work.

And to top the cake, I got my paycheck! Yay! See what happens when you make someone you don’t know happy? You get a direct handshake from karma itself. Now, I’m not religious or anything, but karma is something I definitely believe in.

hand-drawn animation > 3D

I wanted to share with you some beautiful animations I found while procrastinating rummaging through youtube. Japan is famous for its  unique animated motion picture, as well as its live-action ones, oozing in symbolism.

Among others, Kigeki (Comedy), is a short gothic fairtyale set during the War for Ireland’s Independance.

I bought this movie a few years ago. It never ceases to make me cry. Though not as infamous as Hayao Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon makes equally visually-amazing films.

Chiyoko Fujiwara was once a major movie star who dominated the Japanese cinema world. Thirty years ago, she abruptly disappeared from the screen and from public view. One of her greatest admirers, Genya Tachibana, is a documentary filmmaker who has traveled to the isolated mountain lodge where she makes her home to interview her. There, he presents her with an old key, and as if the key had opened a door to her memories, Chiyoko starts telling the story of her life, interweaving moments from her past and future and passing through the boundary between reality and the movies that had made up so much of her life.

Also, I caught this from a beautifully atmospheric and original series called Mushishi. It won a grand prize award for best art direction by Takashi Waki.

I’ll have to watch Ponyo and tell you about it soon. I adore Hayao Miyazaki’s wild and unexpected imagination!
